(like the Melbury, this is from 1% cabernet sauvignon planted in 199) Ruby-red. Explosive, wild nose combines roasted red berries, grilled meat, tar, brown sugar, mocha and truffle. Dense but juicy, with more power and thrust than the '99 Melbury but not quite the same early appeal. Intriguing notes of smoke, herbs and truffle.
