For over five centuries, Château Fombrauge has embodied the elegance and excellence of Saint-Émilion wines. From the Canolle family in the 15th century through the Dumas and Taffard families, only a few have owned and nurtured this exceptional estate, each contributing to its legacy. In 1999, Château Fombrauge entered a new era under the stewardship of Bernard Magrez, who has blended tradition with innovation to elevate its wines to new heights. This commitment to quality was recognized in 2012, when Château Fombrauge was officially classified as a Saint-Émilion Grand Cru Classé.

Spanning 58 hectares, Château Fombrauge is the largest Grand Cru Classé vineyard in Saint-Émilion. Its diverse terroir—comprising clay, limestone, and Fronsac molasse soils—imparts depth and complexity to its wines, contributing to their exceptional aging potential.
