Bright red with ruby highlights. Musky red raspberry, mocha and underbrush on the nose; more gamey and earthy and less fruity than the Clos de la Bousse d'Or. Silky on entry, then dense and rich in the middle, showing more thickness than the Bousse d'Or but less lift. Round and fairly large-scaled but does it have enough verve for extended cellaring?- Stephen Tanzer (03/2013)
