Intense and well-built, with vibrant, youthful notes of currant, dried herb, cedar and crushed rock. The tannins are starting to dry around the edges, so now is a good time to catch this at a nice plateau.—2003 California Cabernet blind retrospective (July 2013). (14.7% alcohol) Good ruby-red. Highly floral aromas of blueberry, licorice, menthol and violet. Sweet black raspberry and blackberry flavors are firmed by a slight edge of acidity and lifted by floral and mineral nuances.
