The 2012 Terrasses du Larzac Habilis is outstanding. A blend of 60% Grenache, 30% Syrah and 10% Carignan that was completely destemmed and aged 18 months in stainless steel, it has lots of black raspberry and darker fruits, truffle, damp earth and wild herb characteristics to go with a fleshy, full, layered and fruit forward feel on the palate. I love the purity here, but don’t think it’s meant for the long haul. Plan on drinking bottles over the coming 4-5 years.-JD
