Champagne Jacquesson, based in the Dizy region of Champagne, France, was founded in Châlons-sur-Marne in 1798 by Memmie Jacquesson. It is one of Champagne’s most respected houses, not only predating Krug, but giving birth to it, when in 1843 Johann-Joseph Krug left Jacquesson to form his own house.
Under the stewardship of Jean-Hervé and Laurent Chiquet in the early 2000s, the renowned “700-Series” cuvées were introduced. Each year, a unique blend captures the spirit of the vintage and is balanced with the house's reserve wines. The “700-Series” cuvées represent more than 96% of total production and are released on two occasions: initially after four years on the fine lees, and then a second time after up to nine years on the fine lees (Dégorgement Tardif).
In 2023, Artémis Domaines (owners of Chateau Latour, Eisele Vineyard, Clos de Tart) acquired Champagne Jacquesson, with a mission to continue the legacy of producing exceptional Champagnes that embody craftsmanship and terroir.
