2023 Laleure-Piot Petit Chablis

Founded three centuries ago in the village of Pernand-Vergelesses, Domaine Laleure-Piot is deeply rooted in the heart of Burgundy, nestled against the slopes of the Montagne de Corton. Acquired by Maison Champy in 2010, the 10-hectare estate has since been fully converted to organic and biodynamic viticulture. Historically focused on the Côte de Beaune—with holdings in Pernand-Vergelesses, Savigny-lès-Beaune, Aloxe-Corton, and Chorey-lès-Beaune, including Premier and Grand Cru vineyards—the domaine has recently extended its range to include wines from other emblematic Burgundian appellations, such as Chablis.

At Laleure-Piot, white wines are crafted with precision, beginning with manual harvests and strict yield control to ensure optimal ripeness. Since 2010, modern equipment allows for gentle grape handling, stainless steel vinification, and gravity-fed barrel aging. The wines age for 11 to 20 months in oak, depending on the cuvée, blending tradition with innovation to highlight the purity of the Burgundy terroir.

Tasting Notes: Fresh and vibrant, this Petit Chablis offers bright notes of lemon zest, green apple, and white flowers. The palate is crisp and mineral-driven, with a clean, saline finish that reflects its northern Burgundy origins. A pure expression of Chardonnay—perfect as an apéritif or paired with seafood.
