The 2019 Pouilly-Fuissé Les Crays, which will be a Premier Cru from the 2020 vintage, has a gorgeous blackcurrant leaf and even strawberry tinged bouquet, ripe and generous with orange pith and peach skin aromas emerging after 4-5 minutes. The palate is very well balanced with a slightly honeyed texture, touches of marmalade and quince, very powerful with a caressing, weighty and persistent. Just three barrels were produced, so do keep an eye out for this cuvée as it is very impressive.-NM
