Colin's 2018 Saint-Aubin 1er Cru En Remilly derives from five parcels, together amounting to fully 1.5 hectares: two are located on the plateau and suffer in warm conditions, whereas three are on the slope. Revealing lovely aromas of pear, white flowers, peach and fresh mint, the wine is medium to full-bodied, layered and textural, with a gourmand, even rich core of fruit underpinned by lively acids.-WK

A whiff of petrol character can be found on the pear, apple and citrus confit-suffused nose. I like the vibrancy and seductive texture of the overtly stony medium-bodied flavors that culminate in a very dry and youthfully austere finish. This seductive but racy effort is really lovely and well worth checking out. Outstanding, Top Value.-AM

The 2018 Saint-Aubin En Remilly 1er Cru comes from a parcel that has the same orientation as La Chatenière, albeit with more limestone – and that is clear for all to see on the nose: crushed stone, almost flinty in style, very well delineated but a little aloof at the moment, with Puligny-like pretentions. The palate is extremely well balanced with fresh lime, elderflower and citrus notes. Harmonious and persistent in the mouth, although this year I have a preference for a couple of the other high-performing Saint-Aubins. Still a lovely wine, though.-NM
