The 2015 Pouilly Fuisse les Courtelongs was perhaps the one cuvée from the domaine that fell a little short on the nose and perhaps reflected more the vintage season than the terroir. The palate is very pretty, mind you, with ample mango, white peach and nectarine notes married with a fine bead of acidity, although it does not quite have the same level of complexity on the finish as some of its siblings.- Neal Martin (08/2017)
Medium yellow. Very ripe but reticent aromas of yellow fruits and lemon candy complicated by spicy, toasty oak; slightly high-toned but quite laid-back. Thick and superconcentrated; a sweet/savory Pouilly-Fuissé with considerable power and an almost painful, phenolic finish that's like chewing on grapes. A flavor of white currant reminded me of a Châteauneuf-du-Pape blanc. Doesn't offer the definition or freshness of the Maréchaude, but this wine needs time in the cellar to lose some of its baby fat.- Stephen Tanzer (11/2017)
