Matured in 20% new oak and 30% in foudres, the 2015 Saint-Aubin 1er Cru En Remilly has a gorgeous, lively bouquet with fresh lime, citrus fruit, cold wet limestone and shucked oyster shells. The palate is very well balanced, demonstrating impressive concentration like others, but with the acidity cutting through to lend this immense tension. This is one of the classiest wines from En Remilly that I encountered during my visits and I strongly anticipate that it will end up towards the upper end of my banded score. This is superb. - Neal Martin (28-12-2016)

The 2015 Saint-Aubin En Remilly 1er Cru is dominated by oak on the nose that renders it generic, robbing it of the personality of some of its peers. The palate is balanced with a smooth, slightly honeyed opening, and there is well-judged acidity. What’s missing is a core of mineralité and a convincing statement of terroir. Tasted blind at the annual Burgfest tasting. (DIAM 30 closure)- Neal Martin (11/2018)
