Good bright, dark red with ruby tones. Very dark but restrained aromas of blackberry, boysenberry and blueberry complicated by nuances of mint, licorice and game. Then quite inky, primary and tight in the mouth, even a bit tough today. This youthfully bound-up wine finishes with firm acidity and an inky, herbal quality. Showed more sweetness as it opened in the glass but this very bright wine will need patience.- Stephen Tanzer (01/2016)
