The 2013 Moulin St Georges St Emilion 750 ml is from the St Emilion region of Bordeaux.
Even proprietor Alain Vauthier’s perfectionist/obsessive viticultural and winemaking work couldn’t pull out a gem from this small estate in the St. Emilion. He did it with Ausone, but not here. Hard acids, a rather one-dimensional, shallow mouthfeel, but decent fruit in the nose and attack, without any obvious vegetal characteristics or astringent tannins, make for a drinkable, but essentially simple, wine.
