A blend of 84% Cabernet Sauvignon and 16% Merlot, the 2012 Camaspelo is more refined and elegant than the Lovers release, showing a seamless, elegant profile to go with lots of dark fruits, savory herbs, graphite and hints of flowers. While the nose is terrific, the palate is where this really shines and it's full-bodied, concentrated and ultra-pure, with lots of fine tannin that keep the finish going. It should be at it's best from 2018-2032+. - Jeb Dunnuck (42184)

(aged in 50% new oak; from Cailloux and en Cerise): Good dark red. Smoky raspberry and cassis bud on the nose, lifted by an enticing orange zest perfume. Silky and seductive in the mouth, with compelling floral perfume and a suggestion of raw meat to its vibrant, pure berry flavors. Finishes with noble tannins and outstanding perfumed length.- Stephen Tanzer (11/2015)
