Medium ruby. Aromas of cassis, licorice and herbs. Supple and sweet, but with fairly pronounced acidity and cooler notes of mint and herbs. Finishes with good length, but here the slightly tough tannins are less well buffered by sweet fruit than in the 2005, and there's a bit of finishing greenness, giving the wine an austere impression. ST
