Bright saturated ruby. Captivating aromas of blackberry, kirsch, licorice and candied violet. Dense, concentrated and sweet, with primary dark fruit flavors enlivened by firm but ripe acidity. Complicating notes of pepper and herbs. Very nicely delineated, fine-grained wine, finishing with broad tannins. I'd give this a good ten years in the cellar. ST
