Dark plum/garnet with a nose of sweet cherries intermixed with a hint of plum and vanilla, this stylish, very graceful as well as medium-bodied wine is best drunk over the next 4-5 years. This is a Bordeaux for those searching for very restrained, delicately styled wines. Anticipated maturity: Now-2008. Last tasted, 11/02.- Robert Parker Jr. (01/2003)

Medium dark ruby, with a garnet hue. Aromas of blackberry, with light mushroom and earth. Full, soft and round-textured, with pretty fruit and a medium finish. A caressing, pleasing wine. Hasn't changed since I tasted it 10 years ago.—'88/'98 Bordeaux blind retrospective (2008). Drink now. — JS (2009)
