2018 Saumaize-Michelin Pouilly Fuisse Ampelopsis

93 pts - Wine Advocate

A barrel selection from the domaine's best sites that saw 20 months' élevage, the 2018 Pouilly-Fuissé Ampelopsis unwinds in the glass with notes of pear, orange oil, fresh bread and chalky soil tones. Medium to full-bodied, layered and complete, it's satiny and seamless, with bright acids and a saline finish. Despite its notable presence, this is a very elegant bottling.-WK
