Deep ruby. Vibrant aromas of blackberry, kirsch, licorice, violet and smoky Indian spices. Firm and intense, with alluring sweetness and fleshiness to the red and dark berry and floral pastille flavors. The very fine tannins quickly fade into the high-pitched fruit on the smoky, minerally back end. This is very pretty and impressively complex right now; I'd drink it before the less-evolved 2006.- Josh Raynolds (01/2010)
