(from 100-year-old vines): Good medium red. Sexy aromas of raspberry, minerals, smoke and animal fur, plus a whiff of leather: this could only be from Gevrey. Intensely flavored, savory and deep, displaying superb energy to its dark cherry, raspberry and game flavors. In its inner-mouth tension and finesse, this reminded me of a mini-Clos de Beze. Finishes with a broad dusting of tannins and outstanding mounting length and grip.- Stephen Tanzer (01/2013)
