(50% of the fruit came from Colson Canyon vineyard, with 25% each from the Tierra Alta and Thompson vineyards; bottled only in magnums): Inky ruby. A seductively perfumed bouquet evokes candied dark berries, cherry-cola, pipe tobacco and violet. Lush and creamy on entry, then tighter and more linear in the middle, offering intense bitter cherry and cassis flavors sharpened by lively acidity.
