A superbly complex and deeply pitched nose of spicy dark berry fruits and lovely floral notes, particularly violet, precede the rich and quite naturally sweet flavors blessed with ample old vine intensity and palate saturating extract yet for all the inner mouth fireworks, this remains classy, refined and strikingly long. This is so well balanced and carries its firm structure so effortlessly that it will easily age for 20 to 30 years but should be ready in 12 to 15. In a word, terrific. BH
