Heavy wood spice presently dominates the fruit and leads to round, sexy, seductive, earthy, nicely rich and detailed flavors of excellent intensity and fine length. As of yet, this has developed no nuance at all and it's frankly a bit one-dimensional and it will be interesting to see if the wine can successfully integrate this much oak. To be sure, there is good underlying material and certainly a fine track record behind the wine plus a demonstrated ability to age even in less than stellar vintages but this is presently displaying more wood than I personally can sign up for.
