The 2014 Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Cazetiers has one of the most accomplished and harmonious bouquet of the Gevreys with lovely, very pure raspberry and fresh cranberry scents, a hint of bergamot and iris developing in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with supple, redcurrant and cranberry notes, a touch of orange zest with a hint of volatile acidity on the finish just giving it a kick. This is the most feisty of their premier cru Gevrey's and probably the one that I would pick.- Neal Martin (04/2016)

Dark, bright red. Inviting ripe perfume of cherry liqueur, raspberry, strawberry, crushed-stone minerality and earth, plus a whiff of smoky oak. Dense, fine-grained and tactile on the palate, offering lovely breadth along with a distinct mineral firmness and excellent inner-mouth lift to its sharply delineated cherry, raspberry, spice and saline mineral flavors. This rich, very long premier cru finishes with firm, spicy tannins and good medicinal reserve. Already hinting at the sweet fruit to come, this wine has the backbone to expand in the cellar and reward aging.- Stephen Tanzer (03/2017)
