The 2014 Chapelle Chambertin Grand Cru underwent replanting just after the 2014 vintage (0.17-hectares of old vine of 0.60-hectares in total). It consists of just under 50% new oak. It is bestowed a crisp, stoic, granitic bouquet with quite intense marine-like, sea spray aromas infusing the well defined black fruit. The palate is medium-bodied with a dab of spice on the entry. This feels energetic in the mouth thanks to the citric line of acidity; it is fleshy and pastille-like with blood orange infusing the finish. Lovely, just lovely.- Neal Martin (12/2015)
