Medium to deep garnet-purple colored, the 2017 Montlandrie rocks up with bold blackberry preserves and plum preserves scents with hints of bay leaves, charcoal and crushed rocks. Medium to full-bodied, the palate is packed with black fruit and minerally accents, supported by firm, chewy tannins, finishing a little firm.- Lisa Perrotti-Brown (03/2020)

Succulent red cherry, plum, blood orange, spice and new leather meld together in the 2017 Montlandrie, Denis Durantou's Castillon Côtes de Bordeaux. Pliant, supple and inviting, the 2017 has much to offer. I would prefer to drink it sooner rather than later, while the fruit retains its vibrancy. Time in the glass brings out the wine's tannins and overall structure.- Antonio Galloni (05/2018)
