The exquisite 1975 Trotanoy gets my nod as one of the three finest wines produced at this estate in the last 25 years (the others being 1970 and 1982). This wine has been drinking splendidly for several years, exhibiting fabulous mocha/toffee/jammy black-cherry aromas in a complex, sweet, fragrant bouquet. Full-bodied, splendidly concentrated, velvety-textured, with a firm finish, this is a weighty, rich, complex, great vintage for Trotanoy. Drink it over the next 10-15 years. Like so many top Pomerols in the 1975 vintage, there is a sweetness and jamminess to this wine's fruit that is not found in most 1975 Medocs. This is a glorious Trotanoy! RP
