Good dark ruby-red. Brooding aromas of dusty black cherry and licorice. In a powerful, very tight style, not showing the flesh or sweetness of the 2009. This distinctly tough wine is likely to need a longer elevage, noted Keplinger, who told me that Mark Aubert's assistant Ross Wallace, who vinified this wine, cut back on extraction in 2010 (Keplinger's first vinification here was 2011).
