Cinsault

The French red grape variety Cinsault, often spelled "Cinsaut," is traditionally used in Southern Rhône blends alongside Grenache, Syrah, and Mourvèdre. With over four centuries of cultivation and widespread distribution, it has accumulated hundreds of synonyms. Although Cinsault plantings have decreased in recent years, the variety is gaining renewed interest as wine trends shift towards lighter styles.
