Beautiful. Offers great toasty, earthy aromas, lively but mellow fruit flavors and a lingering finish. Seems suave and sophisticated, even better than when reviewed earlier. Tempting now, but should improve. Drink now through 2000. WS
Pale orange. Extraordinarily complex aromas of raspberry, strawberry, smoke, truffle, clove, Burgundian underbrush, brown butter, mint and game. Huge, rich and mouthfilling; glyceral and seamless, yet this dances on the palate. Intriguing minerally hint of gunsmoke. As complex as a great grand cru red Burgundy. Finish builds and builds.
