Healthy ruby-red. Musky, cooler aromas and flavors of black fruits, pepper, mocha, tomato leaf and sexy oak. Very suave, juicy, intense wine; savory more than sweet, and spicy and energetic in European way. Not a big wine but wonderfully refined, even velvety, with a minty element contributing freshness. Finishes with dusty building tannins and lovely spicy lift. This is approachable now but should improve further.- Stephen Tanzer (06/2016)
