The 2005 Cabernet Sauvignon Tychson Hill Vineyard is fresh and vibrant, with great fragrance (blueberry, black and red currants, licorice and graphite, as well as floral notes). It is stunningly fruity and full-bodied, with remarkable purity and texture, and combined with the gorgeous fragrance, fabulously concentrated with a nearly perfectly balanced mouthfeel and finish. This amazing wine should continue to develop for another 25 or more years.- Robert Parker Jr. (06/2015)

Well done, in a tight, tapered style, with a mix of graphite, road tar and dried dark berry flavors veering into tobacco and charry oak notes. Ends a bit clipped and has the stuffing to age, but the tannins on the finish are prominent.—2005 California Cabernet blind retrospective (September 2015). Drink now through 2022. 250 cases made. — JL (12/2015)

Deep, full ruby-red. Multidimensional nose combines black raspberry, dark plum, sweet dusty spices, leather, truffle and damp earth, all lifted by an exhilarating note of citrus zest. Creamy and voluptuous in the mouth, conveying an utterly seamless texture and outstanding inner-mouth energy. But this palate-staining wine is extremely young and still needs time in bottle to burn off a bit more of its baby fat.- Stephen Tanzer (04/2015)
