(racked on the morning of my visit; this wine finished its malolactic fermentation): Fresh, slightly hazy yellow color. Aromas of lime, lemon, flowers, menthol and sweet oak; these wines are impressively fresh for 2015. At once dense and juicy, offering urgent citrus, apple and pear flavors and a strong impression of terroir. Finishes with a slowly mounting whiplash of flavor. Really piques the taste buds. A wonderfully rich, complete 2015 with energy and no heaviness--and outstanding retention of fruit.- Stephen Tanzer (10/2016)
