A somewhat riper and highly expressive nose puts on display complex aromas of red and black pinot fruit nuanced by distinct floral notes, especially violets, that precede the rich and intensely mineral-inflected medium full flavors that carry wonderful sense of underlying tension that focuses the precise and explosive finish. A terrific wine and highly recommended. BH
Good deep red. Vibrant aromas of dark fruits and smoked meat. Chewy, sweet and strong, communicating a distinctly wild character but also considerable subtlety and sap. Not yet showing its complexity, but this wine's ripe, harmonious tannins and impressively sweet finishing flavors promise a slow and positive evolution in bottle.
