Hint of sous bois and earthy, no longer youthful fruit lead to relatively big, intense flavors underpinned by prominent finishing tannins yet there is good weight and just enough velvet to buffer the structure. There is really lovely complexity and the transparency and precision is extremely impressive. If this adds a bit more weight as it ages, my score may very well be conservative. BH
