Full, dark red. Deep aromas of black raspberry, crushed stone, licorice, minerals and spices, along with a whiff of meat. Densely packed, saline and concentrated, with a restrained sweetness contributing to an overall impression of finesse. This wine is hiding more than it's showing today; from barrel in the fall of 2014 it showed explosive floral and spicy high notes but today it appears to be in a sullen phase.- Stephen Tanzer (03/2016)
