EU Right of Withdrawal Policy
This policy applies to customers located in the European Union and European Economic Area.
Your Right of Withdrawal
Under EU consumer law, you have the right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days without giving any reason. The withdrawal period expires 14 days from the day on which you, or a third party you designate, receives the last item of your order. If the withdrawal period ends on a weekend or public holiday, it is extended to the next business day.
To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must inform us of your decision before the withdrawal period expires. You can do this by initiating a return or cancellation request through your customer account at https://account.aabalat.com. You will receive an automatic confirmation once your request is submitted.
Cancellations (Unfulfilled Orders)
If your order has not yet been fulfilled, you may cancel it through your customer account at https://account.aabalat.com. Cancellations are accepted until the order is fulfilled.
Returns (Fulfilled Orders)
Once you have notified us of your withdrawal, you must return the goods to us without undue delay and no later than 14 days from the date you informed us of your decision to withdraw. Return shipping costs are your responsibility. We recommend using a tracked and insured shipping service, as we cannot be held responsible for items lost or damaged in transit on return.
Refunds
We will refund all payments received from you, including the cost of standard outbound delivery (we do not refund upgraded or expedited shipping costs), within 7 days of receiving the returned goods. Refunds will be issued using the same payment method you used for the original transaction.
Exemptions — Goods Not Eligible for Withdrawal
The right of withdrawal does not apply to:
- Opened bottles of wine
- Special orders — wines sourced specifically to fulfill your order that are not part of our standard inventory
- En primeur wines — futures purchased prior to bottling and release
- Very old or fragile vintages that, in our reasonable assessment, are unsuitable for return air shipping due to sensitivity to temperature fluctuation, pressure changes, or repeated handling
Damaged Goods on Arrival
All items are shipped insured. If you receive a damaged item, you must contact us within 24 hours of delivery and retain all original packaging and damaged items for insurance inspection purposes.
