Every great wine tells a story. This one begins in the heart of Vosne-Romanée, where the Gros family has been shaping the landscape of Burgundy since the early 1800s.
We’re proud to offer a wine that brings both heritage and value into the glass:
Gros Frère et Sœur 2022 Bourgogne Hautes-Côtes de Nuits Rouge – a fresh, vibrant Pinot Noir from a family that has helped define the Côte de Nuits.
Founded in 1963 by Gustave Gros, Gros Frère et Sœur was built on a legacy of viticulture dating back to Louis Gros, one of the original patriarchs of Burgundy’s post-phylloxera revival. Over generations, the Gros family split into several domaines—each holding Grand Cru and Premier Cru parcels across Burgundy’s most prized villages. Today, Bernard Gros carries the torch at Gros Frère et Sœur, producing wines revered for their depth, precision, and respect for terroir.
This 2022 Bourgogne Hautes-Côtes de Nuits Rouge is no exception—crafted from high-elevation vineyards just west of the famed Côte, where cooler temperatures preserve freshness and aromatic clarity. It’s a wine of finesse and approachability, made in the same cellar as their Richebourg Grand Cru, yet offered at a fraction of the price.

Winery Tasting Notes: On the nose, it’s a world where lovely scents of rosemary balsamic, thyme, and bay leaves harmonize with spicy notes of liquorice sticks, Sichuan pepper, nutmeg, and cloves…Very ripe black fruits, more discreet, complete the ensemble, without forgetting a few more distinguished fragrances of musk and undergrowth.
On the palate, this 2022 Bourgogne Hautes Côtes de Nuit red wine is quite full, ample, with a sturdy structure, enveloping and velvety. Its tannins are already very silky even in its youth. The length on the palate is quite impressive, with notes of a creamy black currant, and of course the many spices and a touch of undergrowth that characterizes it. Already very enjoyable today, this wine can also wait another 5 to 7 years to reach its climax.
