Terms of Service - Shipping Fees & Policy
We ship via common carriers such as UPS. Shipping options consist of Ground shipping (1-5 business days), 3-Day Select, 2-Day Air and Next Day Air options depending on the final destination. The shipping speed that is selected only represents the ‘Time in Transit’, but it does not mean the wine will be shipped the same day. We typically like to ship most ground and 3-Day shipments at the beginning of the week to prevent the wines from sitting with UPS over a weekend.
Weather is also a factor when determining a shipping date.
3rd Party Shipping and Storage Facilities
In addition to home and business addresses, wine can also be shipped to third party storage facilities.

Shipping Terms and Conditions
Please be aware of the scheduled delivery information, such as the date and location of your delivery as it cannot be changed once it leaves our warehouse. It is your responsibility to make sure that an adult over 21 years old is present when your shipment arrives.
If you need your order by a specific date, please let us know and we will work with you to try to get the wine to you in time for your needs.
If you refuse the delivery of an order for any reason, you will be held responsible for return shipping charges in addition the original shipping charges. Aabalat does not issue refunds for shipping charges.
Aabalat assumes no liability for wine damaged due to poor weather during shipping. This can include leakage, freezing, or corks pushing out of the neck. Aabalat is not responsible for wine damaged during tranist due to hot or cold temperatures. At your request we will store your order free of charge when the weather is not suitable for shipping. If the weather is very hot or cold in your area and you would like us to postpone your shipment, please advise us.
Aabalat reserves the right to hold shipment of your wine during extreme weather conditions. Aabalat cannot be responsible for damage to wine (including leakage or damaged corks) shipped during extreme weather conditions. Please be aware of the scheduled delivery information, such as the date and location of your delivery as it cannot be changed once it leaves our warehouse. It is your responsibility to be present when your shipment arrives. We do not advise shipping via ground during temperatures over 80°F (26°C) or under 32°F (0°C). We do not advise shipping at all during temperatures over 90°F (32°C). If you need your order by a specific date, please let us know and we will work with you to try to get the wine to you in time for your needs.
Aabalat cannot be responsible for wine damaged by a shipper or inappropriate storage/handling on the part of the shipper.
We cannot ship to PO, APO, or FPO box offices. We currently do not ship to UT, KY, TN. Incorrect, insufficient or change of address will incur a $12.00 surcharge. We reserve the right to charge return shipping for refused or undelivered packages.
Weather Holds / Extreme Temperatures
It is important to understand that wine is perishable and very sensitive to temperature. Transporting wine in extreme weather conditions, even by overnight service, may seriously damage it. During periods of extreme weather (hot or cold), Aabalat strongly advises against the transport of wines by any means

If the weather is very hot or cold in your area and you would like us to postpone your shipment, please advise us. At your request, we will store your order free of charge for up to 6 months when the weather is not suitable for shipping.
Insurance / Damaged Shipments
All items shipped by Aabalat are insured thru UPS or FedEx. If you receive wine that has been broken during shipping, do not contact the carrier, they will not issue refunds, please contact Aabalat directly within 24 hours of receiving the parcel. It is standard policy for all shipping companies that you must save all packaging and the broken items for inspection by the insurance adjuster. Without the broken items and original packaging, there is no way to file a claim. If you do not save the items and packaging, we cannot accept returns or file a claim on your behalf.
Aabalat is not responsible for wine damaged by a shipper or inappropriate storage/handling on the part of the shipper.
Aabalat will refund insured purchases only for the breakage of wine while in transit once a successful claim has been filed and paid by the insurance carrier. Aabalat will not refund shipments for any other types of damages, such as, but not limited to, the defacing of labels, the failure or damage to corks and capsules, spoilage, and all other forms of damage. Note that weather damage is NOT covered by this insurance and we will not be responsible nor will we replace bottles damaged by hot or cold weather.
Shipping for international orders will be quoted by email. Please note that wine shipped internationally is shipped solely at Customer's own risk. In particular, the precise timing of deliveries (given the need to clear Customs in other countries) and the local storage conditions while awaiting Customs clearance are completely outside of Aabalat’s control. No returns will be accepted and no refunds will be provided once the order is shipped. Customer takes all responsibility for damage or loss of wine during shipment.
Aabalat charges for air freight but is not involved in the collection of foreign duties, taxes, and surcharges which must be paid separately by customer to the relevant party before the wine is released to Customer. These charges vary widely around the world and are often based on complex rules. Moreover, certain countries have "sampling" laws where authorities have the right to open a limited number of bottles per item. Failure to pay required duties may also result in confiscation of Customer wine. THEREFORE, ALL COSTS RELATED TO INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING ARE ESTIMATES ONLY AND ARE ALWAYS THE SOLE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE CUSTOMER.
